Proper technique speeds up the process of completing a painting. Without training, completing a painting takes a lot longer for me. I like abstract painting to follow thought, not process. Layering becomes much harder when process slaves to contemplation. I have given away most of my work, a few have been sold, and only a handful is kept in possession .
